For those who are looking to improve their skin, but unsure about having facial acupuncture, I offer facial cupping.
A rejuvenating oil is applied over the face and décolleté area and a gentle suction is created within a silicone cup, which is moved gently across the skin. This increases local blood flow and prompts a natural healing process: reducing puffiness, boosting collagen production, brightening the complexion and helping to minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles over time.
Alongside being a fantastic way to rejuvenate the skin, facial cupping can be beneficial in the treatment of conditions such as Sinusitis, Bells Palsy and TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorder).
I can offer facial cupping as a standalone 30 minute treatment or as a one hour treatment in combination with 30 minutes of Celluma LED light therapy. Research has shown that low level light therapy can help to increase circulation, accelerate tissue repair, kill acne bacteria, decrease inflammation, improve skin tone, texture and clarity.
Whilst you should leave the treatment feeling relaxed with a lovely glow, optimal and more lasting results can be achieved with a course of treatments (ideally 10 sessions), followed by maintenance sessions every 4 to 6 weeks.
Contraindications: Please note the treatment cannot be used over botox or fillers and is not suitable for people taking blood thinners, those with very thin skin that bruises easily, or a history of allergic reaction or skin cancer.
